Every day, an average of four people in Sweden take their own lives. With simple, routine checks this figure can be reduced. Emotra, a Linköping company, has developed a method of detecting whether a person has suicidal tendencies, in order to provide the best possible care for those in need.
Nearly 1,500 people a year take their own lives in Sweden. There are at least ten times as many unsuccessful attempts. |

 The PivoTell pill dispenser (known in Sweden as the Careousel) is a carousel device for automatically delivering prefilled medication doses, developed by the PharmaCell company. When it is time to take the medication, an alarm sounds to remind the user and the device dispenses the correct dose. Only this dose is available to the user at the time.
