Pimm

– Product renewal in healthcare and community care

A digital noticeboard, computer-aided patient prioritisation and a fact card on ointments. These are three examples of products invented by staff or relatives in the care sector. They represent what the Pimm project is all about: product renewal in healthcare and community care.

Our conviction is that the best ideas come to people in the midst of everyday life. This applies whether it’s a matter of simplifying a complex task or devising an entirely new service.

The Pimm project helps care staff, client and relatives to get their ideas realised. Who is actually more suited to developing new products and services than the people who are actually going to use them? Through Pimm, idea owners are offered support for business development aimed at product licensing or a company start-up.

The target is that, by the end of the project, commercialised products will have a turnover of SEK 30 million (approx. €2.75m), corresponding to 40 job opportunities.

Partners on the project are New Tools for Health, the Östsam Regional Development Council, ALMI Östergötland, the municipalities of Norrköping and Motala, and Östergötland County Council.
