No care is more effective than the kind there’s no need for. Our vision is to enable people of all ages to take responsibility for monitoring their own health, thereby avoiding the need to visit hospitals and other care facilities.
We call them the ‘chronically healthy’. In their homes, they have access to simple methods of keeping track of their own health. They can save the results from these checks in a database, to see the trends for themselves and trace deviations from their normal readings.
We apply the same approach to community care and support. New methods and technical aids mean that elderly people and those with disabilities can cope, and feel safe and secure, in their ordinary home environment. Safety and security also apply to patients’ relatives. Despite long distances they can, using technology, play an active part in the client’s everyday care.
New Tools for Health is actively engaged in creating solutions, services and products to meet the needs of the ‘chronically healthy’ in their own homes. Our ambition is twofold: to reduce the pressure on care facilities and to enable people to go on living in their own home longer, and more safely and securely.
